Non-Youtube Partners Permitted to 15 Minute Videos

Jul 29, 2010

A big announcement from the Youtube staff came today announcing that non youtube partners can now post videos up to 15 minutes. Great news as formerly we were limited to 10:59 videos which for some people is fine though for some content like my own it rushes the creator to stop recording a video due to that they hit the limit. Being a former youtube partner myself this was great news as I used to be allowed to post content with an unlimited time limit just as long as the content remained 20GB . Now non partners can upload an extra 5 minutes to the existing limit as long as its under the 2GB limit. This provides for more in-depth content like reviews, tutorials , rants etc. I’m sure youtubers alike are rejoicing at the great announcement , personally this will allow me to get more into my videos without the rush. Certainley  one of the top features I’ve been looking for youtube to update in the coming years has now been filled.

It's great to see YouTube do something good for once. I can't wait to see videos from both you and Duncan with this new limit.
